First chemo update - July 22, 2022 (imported from FB)
Friday evening update:
I have finished chemo for the day 😊🥳🎉
I'm feeling good. No bad reactions today, so that is awesome. Next chemo is in 3 weeks.
I've included a photo of my chemo nurse Heather all covered up to protect her from the chemo chemicals.
They are actually sending me home tonight too. Wil will come in about an hour to help me pack up and change. I'm going to have dinner here first so it's easier.
I'll probably be tired the next few days, but I'm going to try and post every day something of my experience.
I'm also going to consolidate all of the posts into one with a list of them in case anyone misses something... Makes it easier to follow the progress.
And please be patient if I don't reply right away, I might be sleeping all day. We have to see how I react to the chemo in the next for days and weeks... And please don't call. Just text or FB msg and I'll eventually reply 🥰
And a reminder, please don't send flowers. I will be very immunocompromised so super sensitive to allergens, pollen, even my dogs.
Cari Reed posted some ideas (restaurant gift cards, and hats of all kinds - fun or homemade or something that involves a memory of me, whatever you want. I'll take pics of them all.) Contact Cari for details.
