Bloodwork numbers and the dogs - Aug 13, 2022 (imported from Facebook)

Saturday morning update, day after 2nd chemo treatment.

I'm feeling pretty normal. No nausea or other side effects from chemo yesterday, so that's great.

They do blood work before starting chemo to see white blood cells, red blood cells, and other things to make sure I'm not too far out of the range, or that things are getting better. They take into account the surgery and chemo, but they check some important ones before starting chemo for the day.

They did a check of the blood marker for ovarian cancer (it does have other things that can affect the count, but it's a good marker). The first one was done when I was diagnosed, so before surgery or first chemo treatment. The new one is before the second chemo treatment.

Cancer Antigen (CA) 125 Normal range is 0 - 38.1
7/11 = 624 😱😱🤕
8/12 = 71.6 😱🥰☺️

I would say that surgery and chemo are working 🥰

The dogs are hanging out with me more too. I'm thinking that when it was before any treatment, I smelled weird. I didn't really notice that they weren't sitting with me, but now I notice they always want to sit near me, especially the white one, Nicky. She has always wanted to sit on my lap. She can sit there for hours if I don't make her move 🤣
